Citizenship
Citizenship by Descent or Birth
For children of Dominican parents born abroad, and for people born on the island.
A person born in Dominica is a citizen by birth. A person born outside Dominica to a Dominican parent may claim citizenship by descent. Many families in the Greek and wider European diaspora hold this entitlement without having registered it.
Documents to gather
Your full birth certificate showing both parents.
The Dominican parent’s birth certificate or certificate of naturalisation.
The parent’s Dominican passport, current or expired.
Marriage certificate of the parents, where relevant.
Your current passport and proof of address.
Then what
Once the claim is registered you can apply for a Dominica passport in the ordinary way. There is no investment requirement and no minimum stay on the island.
