Greece and Dominica

Two small maritime nations with more in common than the distance suggests.

Greece and the Commonwealth of Dominica maintain friendly diplomatic relations conducted, on the Greek side, through this Consulate in Athens. The relationship is practical rather than ceremonial, and it is mostly built on shipping.

Shipping

Greek owners and managers are among the users of the Dominica Maritime Registry. The Consulate handles registration, mortgage recordation and the legal opinions that lenders ask for, which keeps a working line open between Athens and Roseau throughout the year.

Travel

Since 2015 holders of Dominica passports have been able to travel to the Schengen area without a visa for stays of up to ninety days in any one hundred and eighty day period, and citizens of the European Union enjoy the same treatment travelling to Dominica. The waiver covers ordinary, official, diplomatic and service passports, and it does not extend to paid work.
