The Consulate of the Commonwealth of Dominica in Athens operates from 4 Koumbari Street on Kolonaki Square. It is the point of contact for Dominican nationals living in Greece, for Greek and international clients applying for Dominican citizenship, and for owners registering vessels under the Dominica flag.
The Consul
The post is led by Mr Christos Vardikos, Honorary Consul of the Commonwealth of Dominica in Greece and a maritime lawyer practising in Athens. He has written on Dominica’s citizenship programme for international investment migration publications, including a case study for the IFC Citizenship and Residency guide.
What the Consulate does directly
Certifies and legalises documents for use in Dominica.
Receives and checks passport and citizenship applications before they travel to Roseau.
Registers ships, yachts and foreign maritime entities under the Dominica flag.
Issues life certificates for government pensioners resident in Greece.
Advises on visa requirements and extended stay permissions.
What has to go to Roseau
Grants of citizenship, passport production and the issuing of civil certificates are decisions for the relevant authorities in Dominica. The Consulate prepares, verifies and transmits, then follows the file until it comes back.
