Government Lots
Applying to purchase a residential lot from the Government of Dominica.
The Government makes serviced residential lots available for purchase, mostly to citizens who intend to build a home. Applications are handled by the Ministry responsible for lands and surveys.
The process

Application
Submit the application form with identification, proof of income and a statement of intended use.

Assessment and allocation
The Ministry assesses the application and allocates a lot where one is available in the requested area.

Survey and transfer
A survey plan is prepared, the price is set, and title is transferred on payment.
Points to check
Whether the lot is serviced with water, electricity and road access.
Any condition requiring construction to start within a set period.
Planning permission requirements before building.
