Ship Registration

Commercial vessels under the flag of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

The Dominica Maritime Registry registers commercial vessels of all types. Registration can be provisional, issued quickly so that a vessel can trade, and then made permanent once the full document set is lodged.

To register

Application for registration and for a vessel name.

Bill of sale or builder’s certificate proving ownership.

Deletion certificate, or a transcript of registry, from the previous flag.

Tonnage measurement certificate.

Class certificates and statutory certificates.

Evidence of the owning entity, incorporated in Dominica or elsewhere.

Continuous synopsis record where applicable.

What follows

Provisional certificate of registry, normally within a working day of a complete file.

Radio station licence and call sign.

Minimum safe manning document.

Permanent certificate on lodgement of originals.
